The pickaxe breaks the gate on the seabed, a treasure chest from the wreck becomes a step on the far beach, and the salt raises the pond's platform.
On Carber Bay's beach, far left, take the heavy duty rustproof pickaxe. With the aqua lung and the flippers, wade in and down to the seabed by the old galleon's wreck. Past the wreck, a gate bars a shaft: drop the pickaxe on it and it breaks open (A locked gate under the sea).
The shaft leads down into a small deep cave with three stars and a large gold coin. Getting in and out takes timing: a platform rises up the shaft again and again (In and out of the cave under the seabed). In this playthrough the cave comes twice: first a quick look, then the coin and the stars.
In the wreck lies an empty treasure chest. With the flippers, swim it across under the bay and up to the far beach, and drop it at the foot of the high step at the beach's far right: it stays there as a step into the grasslands' west part (Up from the far beach, The far side of the bay).
On the far beach lies a large bag of salt. Leave the aqua lung here for now. Through the chest's step and into the grasslands: the pond's little platform bobs too low to stand on. Drop the salt at the edge: Dizzy throws it onto the platform, which rises out of the water. Jump on and across (The dangerous pond).
