The game
The greatest adventure of the Yolkfolk's bravest egg
Leaving the safety of the Yolkfolk's treehouse village, Dizzy sets out across a whole world: rivers and waterfalls, a sandy bay and the sea bed under it, diamond mines, a village of trolls, a pirate ship and, somewhere above it all, the evil wizard's castle in the clouds.
Everybody he meets needs something, there are 250 magic stars to find, and he can only carry three things at a time.

What's in it
The original, 1993
- Fifty places to explore, from the treetops to the sea bed, in the bright colours of the Mega Drive.
- Puzzles with real-world logic, and a three-item inventory to plan with.
- 250 magic stars, and four subgames: a bubble trench, a minecart ride, an archery and the final climb.
- The game's own music and sound, played by the Mega Drive's sound chips, recreated.
The remake
- Plays exactly like the Mega Drive cartridge: checked step by step against the original running in an instrumented emulator.
- Eight save slots with pictures, plus quick save and load.
- Game controllers and key rebinding; the game's five languages.
- Fullscreen at any size, an optional CRT look, cheats, and a teleport to the main places.
Three buttons
Walk with left and right, jump with C (Space), and press B (X) to pick up, put down, use and talk. A (Z) shows what Dizzy carries. Esc opens the remake's menu.

Step by step
Not an emulator, and not a remake from memory: every rule of the original cartridge was traced and rebuilt in modern C++, then checked against the original running in an instrumented emulator, step for step and frame for frame.
